OCTOBER 2, 2009--THE LATEST BUZZ ON THE DAVIS/CANAAN VALLEY AREA
The real estate market has picked up over the last few months. There seems to be a strong interest in the town of Davis itself with it's affordable homes. The Canaan Valley market is also warming up and we have had closings and more people looking to buy with the lower prices. There have been several price reductions and some real deals are out there. Buy now before prices start rising again!!
The Davis Riverfront Park is moving along and walking trails and openings along the riverbank are now developed. A huge 24' x 36' pavillion was just finished. Stop by and check them out and enjoy the lovely rivefront setting. Flower boxes have been built to provide homes for some beautiful flowers this year. A beautiful live blue spruce tree was donated by Randy and Sandy Schmiedeknecht as a living memorial to their mothers who have passsed. It has been planted next to the pond. The new bridge over the Blackwater River is complete and the old bridge has been removed providing a beautiful viewshed looking downriver and the Riverfront Park.
